Missouri and Florida December 14, 2021 (PR WEB) The Portable Negative Pressure System, a collaboration between SafER Medical Products and ROBRADY design, won top honors at the EMS World Expo as one of this year’s most pioneering medical products.
SafER Medical Products’ Portable Negative Pressure System garnered a World Innovation Award at the 2021 EMS World Expo in Atlanta. In making their decision, a panel of judges from across the country noted that several of the product’s features, including its durability, portability, and “ability to safely continue AGPs in an enclosed space…make it an excellent product.”
Developed by a team of ER physicians in collaboration with award-winning product development studio ROBRADY, the system helps protect care providers and their patients from the transmission of airborne particles by creating a portable, negative pressure environment. The convenient system is effective in settings ranging from ambulances to hospitals and even in-home care settings.
Compatible with existing respiratory therapy equipment, the Portable Negative Pressure System works with nebulizer masks, high flow oxygen delivery, CPAP / BPAP equipment, bag-valve masks, and laryngoscopes, limiting the spread of airborne contaminants.
“This product was inspired by a concern for the safety of frontline care providers,” said ROBRADY CEO & Design Director Rob Brady. “They constantly and unconditionally put others’ needs above their own and deserve the tools to keep their work environment safe by capturing contaminants at their source.”
